If your body has a strong immune system then you are more likely to ward off colds and flu, and if you do catch them they are likely to have a less severe impact on your body than if your immune system is weak.

Our body's white cells, leukocytes, have the job of fighting disease in our bodies.

Whn a virus enters our system our body crates interferon which kicks our system into resist and defend mode. Fever is one symptom that our body's white cells are engaged in battle.

Against a strong virus, such as a pandemic influenza, our bodies will ned to have immune systems that are very strong.
