Differences between Cold and Flu
How to tell what you have!

Colds and flu both spread in the same way, through droplets from body secretions.

While colds and flu show many of the same symptoms at first, a cold is much less severe as it is restricted to the upper respiratory tract: head, nose, throat, and ears. Flu viruses spread deeper into the body and can affect lungs and muscular joints, which explains why you get aches and pains in your body when you have the flu. The fact that flu affects your major breathing organ, the lungs, also explains why flu can sometimes develop in pneumonia.

Cold symptoms include a tickle in the back of your throat, a runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, blocked nose, headache.

Flu symptoms may include all of the above symptoms but also include a fever and in all likelihood a cough.
